AI presentation tools solve exactly this problem. You enter a topic or some text, and within minutes a professional presentation is ready.
Over the last three months, we used two AI presentation tools on dozens of real presentations. We prepared client meetings, team presentations and training materials. Here are our detailed experiences.
Gamma: A Tool Beyond Presentations
Gamma is the standout tool for creating presentations with AI. But it doesn't just make presentations; it can also create documents and web pages. You type a topic or paste in your notes, and within seconds a professional presentation is prepared.
On my first try, I had to prepare a digital marketing strategy presentation for a client meeting. Normally this presentation would have taken three or four hours. I pasted my strategy notes into Gamma, and in three minutes a twelve-slide presentation came out. The slide designs were professional, and icons and images were added automatically. I made just a few corrections and walked into the meeting. The client was very impressed with the quality of the presentation.
Gamma's strongest point is its design quality. The slides look modern and polished. The color palettes are harmonious and the typography is professional. Even by spending hours on PowerPoint templates, it's hard to reach this quality.
Another strong feature is that it can create interactive slides. You can add not just static visuals but also clickable cards, embedded videos and animations. This is very useful in educational presentations.
A friend who works on a marketing team now prepares all his client presentations with Gamma. He makes an average of three presentations a week and says he finishes each in under fifteen minutes. Each one used to take him at least two hours.
Gamma's downside is that it's limited in complex data visualization. Charts and tables may need extra editing. Also, when you want to export the output to PowerPoint format, some formatting can break.
Tome: Storytelling-Focused
Tome turns preparing a presentation into a storytelling experience. It's similar to Gamma in creating content with AI, but its approach is different. Tome is designed more for narrative-driven presentations.
I used Tome to prepare an investor presentation. I needed to create a startup pitch deck, and Tome's storytelling approach was perfect for the job. Each slide is designed like a chapter of a story, and the transitions create a natural flow.
Tome's AI image generation feature is also noteworthy. With its DALL-E integration, it can create images tailored to your presentation. Instead of searching for stock photos, you create exactly the image you want.
An entrepreneur I know went on a funding round with a pitch deck he made in Tome and got positive feedback in three of five meetings. Investors were impressed with the look and flow of the presentation. Of course content matters too, but the first impression starts with the design of the presentation.
On the downside, Tome's free plan is very limited and its paid plan is expensive compared to the other tools. Quality can also sometimes drop when creating Turkish content.
